On-line services

Border Wait Times
Provides estimated wait times to reach the primary inspection booth when crossing the Canada/U.S. land border. Wait times are updated at least once per hour.

E-mail Alert Services
Provides updates to subscribers on new information concerning subjects of interest:

  • Anti-dumping
  • Small and Medium Enterprise (SME)
  • CBSA Newsroom
  • D-memos and Customs Notices

Directory of CBSA offices and service locations
A comprehensive listing of locations where travellers and commercial importers and exporters may fulfill their reporting obligations when entering and/or leaving the country.

Online Tutorials and Webinars
Online presentations on various import and export topics.

Customs Internet Gateway
A partnership between the CBSA and Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) to provide trading partners with an alternative, electronic delivery channel for transmitting cargo, release, and accounting data.

Border Information Service (BIS)
A computerized, 24-hour telephone service that provides general border services information.

Contact Us
Provides users with a variety of methods to communicate with the CBSA via e-mail, post, telephone or in-person.

Border Watch Toll-free phone line
Allows users to contact the CBSA if they have information about suspicious cross-border activity.

Customs Investigations
A process to report suspected cases of duty evasion, smuggling, fraud and other offences against laws enforced by the Canada Border Services Agency.
