The CBSA is looking for Corporate Recruitment and Workforce (CRW) Strategists.
At the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), we are changing how the Agency attracts, acquires and retains talent. We recognize that to attract the best and the brightest, we need to be bold, think creatively and seek out talent rather than waiting for them to apply. To do this, the right people must be leading the way.
We are hiring two CRW Strategists who are ready to join us today!
To fit in this team, you need:
- to have a real passion for innovation and an awareness of where top talent is found;
- a background in HR or have specific experience working in the field of branding or talent acquisition in the private or public sector;
- strong skills in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word are key to your success;
- to work very well with others as partnerships are key in our business.
Where are we located?
Downtown Ottawa (100 Metcalfe St). There are restaurants, gyms and easily accessible public transit all within walking distance.
About the job:
You will report to the Manager of CRW Strategies and will help craft and evolve the Agency recruitment brand. Although you won't be recruiting the talent yourself, you will develop the high-level strategies that guide our recruiters in connecting CBSA managers with talent internal and external to the Agency. You will promote workforce strategies that ensure that talent that we attract is on-boarded and retained. You may lead high-level resourcing strategies that aim to resolve complex HR challenges within the Agency's operation. Lastly, you will build positive relationships within the Agency, across government and with targeted groups and academia.

- Be an employee of the CBSA occupying a position across Canada OR an employee of the Public Service occupying a position in the National Capital Region;
- Substantively occupy a position at the PE-04 group and level (or equivalent);
- Be bilingual (imperative CBC/CBC); and
- Meet the educational standard for the PE group.
