Sarnia, Ontario, November 8, 2012 — The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) today announced the opening of an additional NEXUS lane at the Blue Water Bridge border crossing, providing more efficient border clearance for low-risk travellers. The lane is now open from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Monday to Thursday and from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday to Sunday, for entry into Canada.
Canada and the United States agreed on a plan to implement NEXUS technology at nine border crossings as part of the Canada/U.S. Action Plan on Perimeter Security and Economic Competitiveness (Action Plan). This new lane at the Sarnia Port of Entry is the first NEXUS lane to fully, officially open as part of the Action Plan commitment.

Currently there are over 750,000 NEXUS members who expedite their travel across the Canada-U.S. border at designated land, air and marine locations.
